VI Systems announces the availability of the Dxx-BROAD-Cxx photodetector chip series for the wavelength range from 840 to 1650 nm. It is available in three different versions with an equivalent diameter of the active area of 20 um, 23 um and 24 um. The photodetector chip is compatible to standard data communication fiber and offers a bandwidth of up to 40 GHz.

The target applications datacom and sensor applications. The new photodetector chips are available as singlets or 4-channel chip arrays with pitch of 250 um. The product has been fully qualified to meet Telcordia GR-468 standards. 

For laboratory test purpose VI Systems offers also fiber coupled modules with a high speed electrical connector.
